Populus Project
Launched in 2020, Populus Project was founded by Brian Lin, a Taiwanese-American product designer now living in Vancouver, Canada.
With an industrial design education from Parsons School of Design in New York, and after spending over 10 years in fashion accessories, Brian shifted his focus to align with his love for home décor, lighting, and interior space.
With a style continually inspired by Brutalist forms and simplified lines, and the mixing of both vintage and modern, his designs emphasize the use of elevated natural materials that feel understated and age beautifully.
Rooted in a human-centered philosophy, Populus Project creates objects that aim to improve our daily rituals and the way we live. They serve to elevate our spaces evoking a new luxury through minimalist principles.
Built on the belief that good design is not only based on form and function, but the emotional response it evokes in the individual, our designs place an emphasis on sculptural forms and elevated materiality. Whether it be between an individual and an object, or a visitor and a space, it is about the feelings that come from within.
